"Germans to America" is a 37 volume book containing lists of names of people arriving a American Ports between 1850 and 1880. have went through these books looking for Klocks. Below is the information I found in these books on Klock's.

Arriving on the ship "Luconia" from Havre, Germany was Damasius Klock. The Luconia docked in New York on April 11, 1851. Damasius Klock was from the Province Bavaria, is listed as a 42 year old male Farmer.

Vol. # 1, page 434 (Jan. 1850 - May 1851)

Arriving on the ship "Peter Hattrick" from Antwerp, Germany was Johann Klock. The Peter Hattrick docked in New York on June 21, 1852. Johann is listed as being 20 years old farmer. Arriving with him was Eva Klock, 32 year old woman; Jacob a 2 year old male child and Michel, a 4 month old infant. The book did not say if Eva was Johann's wife or his sister.

Vol. # 3, page 122 (June 1852 - Sept. 1852)

Arriving on the ship "Oder" from Hamburg, Gemany, was Jurgen Klock. The Oder docked in New York on June 28, 1852 from Hamburg, Germany. Jurgen is listed as being from the U.S. He is listed as a 22 year old male farmer.

Vol. # 3, page 184 (June 1852 -Sept. 1852)

Arriving on the ship "Eliza" from Hamburg, Germany was Marie Klock. The Eliza docked in New York on December 2, 1852. Marie is listed as a 28 year old female from the Meckenburg Province. Arriving with her was Wilhelm Klock; age 4 years and Doris, age 2.

Vol. # 4, page (Sept. 1852 - May 1853)

Arriving on the ship "Solon" from Bremen, Germany was Friedrick Klock. The Solon docked in Philidelphia on Dec. 8, 1852. Friedrick is listed as a 23 year old male merchant from the Breman Province.

Vol. # 4, page 240 (Sept. 1852 - May 1853)

Arriving on the ship "Sea Lion" from Hamburg, Germany was David Klock. The Sea Lion docked in New York on November 21, 1853. David is listed as a 36 year old male. His occupation is listed as a Country Man. He is listed with Sophie, a 36 year old female, and Sophie, a 6 month old infant. The book did not state if Sophie was his wife, but I would assume she was.

Arriving on the ship "Republic" from Breman, Germany was Marie Klock. The Republic docked in New York on Nov. 1, 1853. Marie is listed as a 22 year old female.

Vol. # 6, page 17 (Oct. 1853 - May 1854)

Arriving on the ship "Philadelphia" from Bremen, Germany was Michel Klock. The Philadelphia docked in New York on December 17, 1853. Michel is listed as a 39 year old male.

Vol. # 6, page 185 (Oct. 1885 - May 1854)

Arriving on the "Diadem" from Havre, Germany, was Jean-Pe. Klock. The Diadem arrived in New York on May 5, 1854. Jean is listed as a 30 year old male farmer.

Vol. # 7, page 4 (May 1854 - Aug. 1854)

Arriving on the ship "Europa" from Bremen, Germany was August Klock. The Europa arrived at New York on June 29, 1854. August Klock is listed as a 52 year old male farmer. Listed with him is Christian Klock; a 29 year old male farmer; Freidrick Klock; a 20 year old male farmer; August Klock; a 16 year old farmer; Louise, a 7 year old female and Theresa, a 4 year old female child.

Arriving on the ship, "Richard Morse" from Havre, Germany was Frederic Klock. The Richard Morse arrived in New York on June 1, 1854. Frederic Klock was listed as a 49 year old farmer. Listed with him is Balthasar Klock, a 41 year old female, Carl Klock, a 15 year old male, Rudolf Klock, a 14 year old male, Franz Klock, a 10 year old male, and Alfred Klock a 9 year old male.

Arriving on the ship, "Heinrich Von Gagem from Bremen, Germany was Walter Klock. The Heinrich Von Gagem arrived in New Orleans on December 14,1855. Walter Klock was listed as a 54 year old farmer. Listed with him was Anna Klock, a 54 year old female, Daniel Klock, a 15 year old male, Catherine Klock, a 13 year old female, and Anna Klock, a 9 year old female.

Arriving on the ship, "William Nelson" fromHavre, Germany was Nicholas Klock. The William Nelson arrived in New York on Jan. 2, 1857. Nicholas is listed as a 24 year old farmer. (Listed, came on board from Switzerland.)

Vol. 10, page 371 (Jan. 1856-April 1857.

Arriving on the ship, "Magdalena" from Bremen, German was Sera Klock. The Magdalena arrived in New Orleans on Dec. 10, 1857. Sera Klock is listed as a 53 year old female servant. Listed with her was Johanna Klock, a 16 year old female servant.

I started a List of German passengers Arriving in U.S. Ports between 1850 and 1880. The information was taken from a 37 Volume set called, "Germans To America". I went through these books looking for Klocks. I recently found out the Book now contains 64 Volumes. The Holland, Michigan Library only has 34 of the 64 Volumes. I will have to see where I can find the other 30 Volumes and go through them as well. The following comes from the first 34 Volumes.

Arriving on the ship "Donau" from Hamburg, Germany was Cath. Klock. The ship Donau arrived in New York on 7 June, 1859. Cath. Klock is listed as a 38 year old female and is listed as a Laborer.

Arriving on the ship "Union " from Bremen, Germany was Andreas Klock. The ship Union arrived in New York on May 9, 1860. Andreas is listed as a 15 year old male farmer.

Vol. 13, page 166 ( Aug. 1859- Dec. 1860)

Arriving on the ship "Eremis" from Havre, Germany was Adam Klock and his family. The Eremis arrived in New Orleans on Dec. 20, 1860. Adam is listed as a 36 year old male. Listed with him was Anna Marie, a 36 year old female, Romeo, an 8 year old male child, Frieda, a 4 year old female child, and Emma, a month old female infant.

Arriving on the ship "America" from Bremen, Germany was George Klock. The ship America arrived in New York on March 28,1864. George is listed as a 25 year old male farmer.

Arriving on the ship "Edinburgh from Liverpool, England was Anton Klock and his family. The ship Edinburg arrived in New York on Jan. 13, 1866. Anton is listed as a 30 year old male. Tailor. Listed with him is Sema, a 28 year old female, wife, Also listed is George, a 3 year old male child, and Thea a 1 year old female child.

Arriving on the ship "Union" from Bremen and South Hampton was Simon Klock. The Union arrived in New York on May 4, 1868. Simon is listed as a 25 year old male, farmer.

Vol. 20, page 421 (Aug 1867-May 1868)

Arriving on the ship "Cimbria" from Hamburg and Havre was E. Klock. The Cimbria arrived in New York on Aug. 4,1869. E. Klock (listed only as E. Klock) E. Klock is listed as a 18 year old male. Laborer.

Vol. 23, page 185 (June 1869-Dec. 1869)

Arriving on the ship "New York" from Bremen, Germany, was Martin Klock. The New York arrived in New York on Aug. 19, 1869. Martin is listed as a 33 year old male.

Arriving on the Ship "Goschen" was Catherine Klock. The Goschen arrived in New York from Bremen, Gennany on October 11, 1869. Catherine is listed as a 43 year old, female, wife. Her husband is not listed as traveling with her.

Arriving on the ship "Westphalia" was Hendrick Klock. The W estphalia arrived in New York from Hamburg, Gennanyon June 9, 1870. Hendrick is listed as a 34 year old male farmer.

Vol. 24, page 294 (Jan. 1870- Dec. 1870)

Arriving on the ship "Nemesis" was T. Klock. The Nemesis arrived in New York from Liverpool, England on May 31, 1871. T. Klock ( no first name listed) is listed as a 30 year old male Laborer.

Arriving on the ship "Johann Kepler" was Johann Klock. The Johann Kepler arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Pomerania Province, Gennany on May 20, 1872. Johann is listed as a 40 year old male. Arriving with him is Friedrich Klock, an 11 month old infant.

Arriving on the ship "Westphalia" was Catha Klock. The Westphalia arrived in New York from Hamburg, Germany and Havre, France on May 28, 1872. Catha is listed as a 22 year old single female.

Vol. 27, page 176 (May 1872- July 1872)

Arriving on the ship "Berlin" was Eleonor Klock. The Berlin arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany on September 3, 1872. Eleanor is is listed as a 16 year old femaie from Hessen, Germany.

Vol. 28, page 84 (Aug. 1872- Dec. 1872 )

Arriving on the ship "Koenig Wilhelm" was Elise Klock. The Koenig Wilhelm arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany on September 5, 1873. Elise is listed as a 26 year old female.

Vol. 30, page 266 (June 1873-Nov. 1873 )

Arriving on the ship "Vaderland" was Carl Klock. The V aderland arrived in New York from Antwerp, Germany on July 15, 1878. Carl is listed as a 20 year old male, as a Joiner.

Vol. 33, page 378 (Oct. 1876-Sept. 1878)

Arriving on the ship "Weser" was Josef Klock and his family. The Weser arrived in New York from Bremen, Germany on May 10, 1880. Josef is listed, as a 44 year old farmer. Also arriving with him was his wife, Sofia, a 30 year old wife. Josef, a 9 year old male child; Johan, a 5 year old male child; Anton, a 4 year old male child: Maria, a 7 year old female child; Therese a 2 year old female child and Sofie, a 11 month old infant.

Arriving on the ship, " Belgenland " was Susanne Klock. The Belgenland arrived in New York from Antwerp on July 15, 1880. Susanne is listed as a 25 year old female wife.

Vol. 36, page 35 (July 1880-Nov. 1880)

Arriving on the ship, "Hermann" was Dorothea Klock. The Hermann arrived in Baltimore from Bremen on November 2, 1880. Dorothea is listed as a 56 year old female from Prussia.

Vol. 36, page 393 (July 1880-Nov 1880)

Arriving on the ship, " Henry Edye " was Robert Klock. The Henry Edye arrived in New York from Antwerp on July 27, 1881. Robert Klock is listed as a 43 year old farmer.

Vol. 39, page 356 (June 1881-Aug. 1881)

Arriving on the ship" Bohemia" was Carl Klock. The Bohemia arrived in New York from Hamburg on April 16, 1883. Carl Klock is listed as 24 year old butcher from Prussia.

Vol. 45, page 390 (Nov. 1882-April 1883)

Arriving on the ship, " Fulda " was August Klock. The Fulda arrived in New York from Bremen on October 27, 1883. August Klock is listed as a 26 year old farmer.

Vol. 47, page 412

(July 1883-0ct. 1883)

Arriving on the ship, "Labrador" was Jaques Klock and his family. The Labrador arrived in New York from Havre on November 8, 1883. Jaques is listed as a 55 year old carpenter. Listed with him was Marguerite, his wife, a 44 year old female. Victor, a 10 year old male child, Emile, a 9 year old male child, Anid a 4 year old child.

Also listed as arriving on the same ship was Pauline, a five year old child and Adam, a one year old child. I am not sure if they were traveling together because they were not listed together.. But they were on the same ship. They are listed as going to Missouri.

Also arriving on the ship" Labrador" was Rosa Klock. The Labrador arrived in New York from Havre on November 8, 1883. Rosa Klock is listed as a 18 year old female. Also in route to Missouri.

Arriving on the ship, "General Werder" was Magda Klock. The General Werder arrived in New York from Bremen on November 17, 1884. Magda is listed as a 19 year old female.

Arriving on the ship, "Australia" was John Klock. The Australia arrived in New York from Hamburg on October 20, 1885. John Klock is listed as a 43 year old male laborer. Listed with him was his wife, Willie, a 42 year old female laborer and their children:

Arriving on the ship, "Zaandam" was Louis Klock. The Zaandam arrived in New York from Amsterdam on October 11, 1886. Louis Klock is listed as a 42 year old male farmer. He is listed as from Gemany. Also traveling on the Zaandam was Emil Klock, a 24 year old female. I would think it she was his daughter but I can not be sure.

Arriving on the ship "Furnessia" was Caroline Klock. The Furnessia arrived in New York from Glasgow and Moville on November 15, 1887. Caroline is listed as a 35 year old female. No occupation is listed. Listed as from Gennany. Arriving with her were the following children.

Auguste 4 Male Child

Arriving on the ship, "Aller" was Robert Klock. The Aller arrived in New York from Bremen and South Hampton on March 31, 1891. Robert Klock is listed as a 26 year old male laborer. Listed with Robert is Auguste Klock, a 26 year old female laborer. They are listed as from Gennan in route to lllinois.

Arriving on the ship, "Spaardam" was Anna Klock. The Spaardam arrived in New York from Boulogne and Rotterdam on August 10 1892. Anna Klock is listed as a 25 year old female servant.

This completes the information from the book, "Gennans to America." I only checked the name Klock. There were severai other names like Klocke, Klockert, Klockin, Klockinburg, etc. It was common for people to change the spelling of their last name and a family with the name of Klocke or Klockin, or even Klockinhouseski, may now spell their name "Klock."
