Plessis - Sept. 30. -- Leonard Snell, 63, farmer here, died at 1:55 Sunday morning in the House of the Good Samaritan after having been admitted to the hospital at 8:15 Saturday night. He underwent an operation there. He had been in poor health for two years and had been confined to his house much of the time. Last week he became seriously ill and his removal to the hospital subsequently followed. He suffered from a intestinal obstruction.

He was born in the town of Worth, January 2, 1872, a son of Frederick and Martha Klock Snell. His family moved to this vicinity when he was a child and nearly his whole life had been spent here. He was a member of the local grange. He married Miss Eunice Hardy of this place December 16, 1895. A daughter Leona May, born of the marriage, died in infancy.

His wife survives together with one son, Ernest, of this place; two sisters, Mrs. Mina Calhoun and Mrs. Stella Petrie; and two brothers, Alvin and William.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the home. Rev. Allan Moore, pastor of the local Methodist Episcopal church will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery here.

Bearers at the funeral will be M. W. Reed, C. J. Makepeace, G. A. Snell, H. N. Morton, and N. E. Powell
