In Search
of the Parents of Barbara Klock
I am looking for the line of Barbara
Klock. She was born Feb. 9, 1826 and died in 1910. She
was of Mohawk Valley descent. She married Daniel Campfield,
also Mohawk Valley decent. Daniel was born June 11,
1821 and died December 4, 1904. Daniel and Barbara removed
to Walworth County, Wisconsin. They later moved to Monroe
County, Wisconsin where that purchased land in the city of Sparta. Later
they moved to the town of Wellington, Monroe County. When
they retired, they returned to Sparta where Daniel and Barbara
died. They are both buried in Sparta, Wisconsin.
Their daughter, Lilia Campfield was born May 2, 1867
in Wellington, Monroe Co., Wisconsin where she married Rowen T. Johnstone on
Feb. 19, 1883. He was the son of John and Louisa (Thompson) Johnstone. They
settled in Reedsburg, where for more than thirty-two years, they were prominent
citizens. Mr. Johnstone was for many years a successful agent
for the Shadvolt and Boyd Iron Co., Milwaukee and an active member of the Masonic
and Knights of Pythias Lodges. Lilia was a very active member
of the Pythian Sisters and Eastern Star. She died in July 1928.
Rowen and Lilia had the following children; Gertrude,
wife of Frank B. Kemp, Atlanta, Georgia - they have one adopted daughter, Mary
Jane; Mable, wife of Milton L. Woodward, Detroit - one child Virginia May;
Rowen Thompson, Jr., of Pontiac, Michigan who married Mildred Johnson.
There is a lot of information on Internet on
the descendants of Daniel Campfield. I have been unable to find the parents
of this Barbara Klock Campfield so I can add this information to my family
tree. I have seen the name Campfield spelled Champfield and Campbield. If
you have any information on the parents of Barbara, please let me know.

In Search of Simeon Klock/Clock
Simeon Klock/Clock was born in 1812 in
New York. In 1860 Simeon Klock lived in Manlius, Onondaga
Co., New York. He married a Margaret, who was born about
1812 and had three children; Norman, born about 1844; Mary C.,
born about 1846, and Laura, born about 1851.
I have no additional information on Mary and Laura.
Norman was born about 1844. He married
a Roseland M., who was born about 1849 and had three children; Eugene S. and
Menzo N. Klock and Blanche R. Klock. In 1880, Norman and his family lived
in Norwich, Chenango Co., New York. I don’t think Blanche ever
married. If she did, it was after 1920.
Menzo was born February 8, 1870 and died in California
November 27, 1956. Menzo served in the Spanish American War and is buried
in Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California. I think
Menzo was married to an Edith for a while. They were divorced. I
don’t think they had any children.
Eugene S. Klock was born about 1866 married a Mary
D. and in 1910 lived in Oneida Ward 6, Madison Co., New York. Eugene
and Mary had two children; Earl D., who was born about 1897 and Norman C.,
who was born about 1902. Norman C. Klock, married an Emma.
